This
site was conceived from my short story "Me"
Side of the Coin, which I wrote not only to advocate against
marriage shams but to bring awareness about the issue. The
paintings are my therapeutic creations. My coping mechanism
and a way I of releasing everything I could not put into words.
After all as one said "a picture is worth a thousands
words."
I consider myself as an expressionist and a symbolist. I have
chosen to use words to express the intensity and passion of
each of my paintings. Some viewers will not be able to conceive
or identify with my method and style of using words. It is
an evolution of my own: Expressive Diction Symbolist.
Many people may not realize how difficult it is sometimes
for some people to use words to express themselves. I realize
that words have power to stimulate the mind when the eyes
are visually overwhelmed. The combinations of vibrate graphics
and powerful words are effective as well affective. One's
soul travels a journey to the ocean of compassion, passion
and sensuality. As a result, stimulating all the senses and
bringing vitality for being a human.
The themes of my paintings are very significant to me. Each
painting is done in a narrative and symbolic style. With each
colour, representing a mood and each intense brush stroke
filled with the overwhelming emotions that resided within
me resulted in the birth of each unique piece. Each painting
is very meaningful to me.
I
started in 2004, after I received a letter from the Collection
and Loan Management. I am advocating and
campaigning against the exploitation of marriage as a passport
into Canada. I insist on justice for women
sponsors who are double victimized:first by unprincipal individuals
using them solely to gain entrance into
Canada; secondly by the Canadian government which holds the
victimized women responsible for debts incurred by the sponsored
individuals who have used them in this way.

I'm
Shajila Singh and I'm an advocate against exploitation of
marriage as a passport into Canada.
I
would like to encourage revolutionizing our Immigration and
government structure from the corruption and negligence, which
is corroding our justice system.
We,
the victims of passport marriage, sponsorship default recovery
project and sponsored spousal abuse are not going stand by
and let fear or shame stop us from practicing our Canadian
rights. We will bring about justice and change in our immigration
and government.
In
the words of Earl Nightingale " Be an agent of change.
Help bring change about"
Revolutionizing
begins inside of a person. It is an opportunity to fight for
the change instead of complaining and making excuses of what
you don't like. It will be difficult and challenging but the
results will be rewarding.
In
closing we must be leaders not observers.
