Hello! Bula! Namaste!

A few days later, my husband called with the news that he was leaving Canada and might not return. He needed to shop for gifts for his family and needed my help. He had just settled an ICBC claim and was using that money to travel and buy his tickets. Despite, his mistreatment,
I agreed to help.

He wanted to look for a place for me and started making phone calls.
I was astonished to hear his phone conversation. My jaw dropped open as I stared at him in disbelief. He was telling the landlords that he was looking for a place for his wife. He was leaving Canada and would be
re-joining me in six months. I was dumbfounded. Hello, what was going on in his head? Just a few days before, he had told me that our marriage was over and had literally kicked me out. Worse, he had tricked me into collecting his plane tickets, giving the impression that I approved of his departure. I was getting tired of his mind games. For me, this marriage was over.

After one and a half years of separation, I was convinced he was not returning to Canada. I decided to file for divorce. After many attempts to reach him, I finally got hold of him and learned that he was returning to Canada. He asked if I was going to collect him from the airport. I refused, knowing that it would hurt him a lot. I was under obligations to my roommates and rental contract. It was impossible for him to stay with me. In addition, I was offended to learn that he was courting a marriage proposal in his homeland even though he was not divorced yet. After he arrived in Canada, I served him with the divorce papers, which he did not protest. Within a month's time, I was a free woman.
