Waking
from the Nightmare - Transformation.
|
|
|
My
transformation began when I start secretly getting counselling. One
summer Sunday, I arrived home to discover my husband was very
distressed. He said our marriage was over. He finally acknowledged
that we were not compatible. He blamed my culture, family background
and personality as the contributing factors for the dissolution
of our marriage. He was moving out, along with selected items
from our house. He suggested I do the same. I
was blessed to have a friend who offered me temporary shelter.
She sympathized with my situation and had experienced similar
tribulations herself. As soon as her husband got his permanent
residence in Canada, he left to visit his parents overseas. When
he returned to Canada, he wanted to live separately. Evidently,
she too was caught up in a marriage sham. In a matter of hours
I was staring at my "invasion" overcrowding her small
apartment. I was so glad for the assistance I received from my
family and friends to move in such a short notice. Later I learned
the house that my husband and I were renting was to be demolished
in a few days. |
