After four years, he finally received his permanent residence. Without discussing it with me, he got his passport made, which cost him approximately $1500 dollars.
He bought a plane ticket and told me that he was leaving for his homeland since he had not seen his parents for such a long time. He also mentioned that he did not want to burden me as I was going to start school within few days. He left Canada with all of our savings. I was stranded without financial support. I was astonished, angry, and hurt.

Once again abandoned, I began college and had to work to support myself. With my sister's assistance, I found a job in a fast food restaurant and was blessed to have my sister's support again. Juggling full time college and a full time job: I graduated successfully. History repeated itself. Deja-vu.

My husband arrived back in Canada very ill and had to be hospitalized. In addition to all the stress in my life, he started blaming me for his illness. Some doctor back home told him that it was because he was having sex with me. I was getting tired of his accusations and refuse to accept the responsibility for his own problems.
He denied that he had ever raped me, claiming that it had been consensual sex.
He had been forced into adultery because I had showed lack of interest in him. Now, he was ill because he had been intimate with me. He was not recovering because I was not a caring wife. I was getting "fed up". I needed to seek help for myself before I went crazy or killed myself.
