Hello! Bula! Namaste!

We visited my husband's immigration officer a few months into my marriage.
I was stunned to discoverthat my husband was on a deportation notice.
The immigration officer was actually a removal officer. Given no alternative, and realizing how desperate his situation had been when he was introduced to me,
it was clear to me that I had to sponsor the man I had married. I was hurt and felt like a pawn caught in a game of deception and deceit. I realized for the first time why everything had happened so fast and the motives behind it all. Everything up to this point had been orchestrated so that he could be sponsored and get his permanent residence in Canada.

By this time, his uncle had dropped out of the picture.I wondered what role the uncle had played in everything that had gone on. Had he been paid to introduce us?I had to disconnect myself mentally and emotionally. The realization was too much to bear and I had to detach myself from the reality that I might have been caught up in a marriage sham. I hated myself for getting myself into such a mess.
